Myra Farris
Mrs.
Myra Ann Calhoun Farris, 66, of 505 W. Warren Street, Apt. B-11, died Thursday,
Aug. 13, 2009, at Hospice Cleveland County.
She was born in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Lee Herbert Calhoun and
Lois Lucille Dixon Sellers. She was a graduate of Shelby High School, class of
1961. She previously worked at Liberty Life Insurance for 19 years and Wal-Mart
in the Jewelry Department. She was a long-time caterer and event planner. She
was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, where she was a former director of the
WMU, former Sunday school teacher and former GA leader. She loved the sun and
being outdoors, and her greatest pleasure was taking care of friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Farris of the home; sons, Richard Wayne
Wynnberry of Shelby, Cecil Quay Farris and fianc�e, Renee, of Zebulon and James
Kyle Farris and wife, Michele, of Westminster, Md.; daughter, Lea Ann Galloway
and husband, Kevin, of Polkville; sisters, Sonya Burke and husband, Jim, of
Dayton, Ohio and Nancy Green and husband, Bobby, of Shelby; nine grandchildren;
and one great-grandchild, Alexis Jade Wynnberry of Shelby.
Funeral: Sunday, Aug. 16, 3 p.m., Eastside Baptist Church
Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour before the service, at the
church.
Burial: Cleveland Memorial Park
