Bobby Wiggins

Mr. Bobby Wiggins, 79, of Webb Farm Road, Shelby, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Cleveland County on July 22, 1930 to the late Guy and Vernie Watts Wiggins.         Bobby graduated from Number Three High School and graduated from Gardner Webb and Central Wesleyan College with a BS Degree. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  He was founder and owner of B & C Accountants.  He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church, Sunday School teacher, deacon and church treasurer.  He loved his work, going to shows and spending time with family.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers:  Eugene Wiggins, John Wiggins and Andy Wiggins, and his sister:  Mary Lee Huffstetler.  Bobby is survived by his sons:  Robbie Wiggins and wife Jan of Gastonia, Richard Wiggins and wife Freida of Shelby and Scott Wiggins of Shelby, his brother: Charles Edward Wiggins and wife Sylvia of Louisiana, and sister: Aileen Walker of Shelby.  His loving grandchildren:  Jeremy Wiggins, Tyler Wiggins and Katie Wiggins Thomas and husband Robert.  

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Crestview Baptist Church with the Rev. Stan Webb.  The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory.
