Horace Monroe Gosnell
Mr.
Horace Monroe Gosnell, 94, passed away on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009.
He was born in Polk County on Oct. 12, 1915, to the late Gammie and Pearl
Gosnell. He had lived in Shelby the last 74 years. He retired from Ester Mill
after 55 years of employment. He was saved and baptized at Green Greek Baptist
Church in Polk County.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Hoyt
Gosnell; his sister, Estelle Brown; and a son, Christopher Robin Gosnell.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Edna Ray Gosnell of the home; two sons,
Eddie Gosnell and wife, Linda, of Mauk, Ga., and David Gosnell and wife, Karen,
of Shelby; five grandchildren, Sean, Brian and Jason Gosnell and Craig and
Lauren Gosnell; and one sister, Hazel Shehan.
Graveside Service: Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2 p.m., Rose Hill Cemetery

Following the service, the family will be at the home of David and Karen Gosnell,
2109 Jack Wilson Road, Shelby.
