Lucille Ricker
Mrs.
Lucille Ricker, 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Dec. 6,
2009, at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center. Mrs. Ricker was born in Spring Creek,
in Madison County, on Jan. 13, 1918, to the late Charlie Moore Jr., and Cora Lee
Smith Moore. She was a member of Paint Rock Church of God. She and her late
husband were owners of Ricker's Country General Store. In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Ricker; a son, Dowell
Ricker; brothers, Earl Moore, Clayton Moore and Dean Moore; and sister, Josey
Ramsey. She is survived by a son, John Ricker and wife, Iva, of Shelby; brother,
Dean Moore of Hot Springs; sisters, Irene Joyner and husband, N.S., of
Charlotte, Ellen Townsend and husband, Robert, of Boone and Lettie Barrett of
Weaverville; her four loving grandchildren, Michell Mosteller, Toni Hughes,
Michael Ricker and Wendy Grace; four great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild. The family will be at the home of John and Iva Ricker,
1010 Rollingwood Drive, Shelby.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 9, 6:30 to 8 p.m., at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory.
Funeral: Thursday, Dec. 10, 11 a.m., Landmark Baptist Church; The body will be for view 30 minutes before the service. Officiated by: The Revs. Allen Davis and Raymond Phillips
Burial: Thursday, Dec. 10, 3 p.m., Paint Rock Cemetery in Madison County
