Jewell (Jones) Brooks
Mrs. Jewell Jones Brooks, 87, of 1551 Mountain View Circle,
died Monday, July 13, 2009, at Willow Ridge Nursing Center.
Born in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late George C. and Sophia Stacy
Jones, she was a homemaker and a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Buford Hadley Brooks, a brother, Billy
J. Jones, and sister, Virginia Petty preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Tim Brooks and wife, Jeannie, of Shelby; and a
granddaughter, Hannah Brooks.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 14, 2009, from 6 to
7:30 p.m. at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. At other times the
family will be at the home of Tim & Jeannie Brooks at 1551 Mountain View Circle,
Shelby.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Sandy Plains Baptist Church
