Mr. Joshua "Josh" Ryan Carrigan, 18, of 214 East Double Shoals Road, went home
to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday night, July 23, 2009. He was born on Feb. 15, 1991, to Jerry Reid "Chucky" and Shelly Denise Carrigan. He was a rising senior at Burns High School Class of 2010. He attended Blessed Way Baptist Church. His hobbies and past-times were deer hunting, 4-wheeling, playing pool and he loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Lathan Carrigan.
In addition to his parents, Chucky and Shelly, he is survived by his brother, Jacob Kyle Carrigan; grandmothers, Betty Jo Mullinax of Lawndale and Diane Carrigan of Shelby; grandfather, Dean Wright of Shelby; great-grandmother, Evelyn Smith of Shelby; Uncle Chad Wright and wife, Melissa, of Lawndale; Aunts Sheila Carrigan of Shelby and Kathy Carrigan of Lawndale; and many loving cousins.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Joshua Ryan Carrigan will be held on Sunday, July 26, at 3 p.m., in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Cook.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service. At other times the family will be at the home.
Burial will follow at Blessed Way Baptist Church Cemetery, Lawndale.
