Frances Cooper

Mrs. Frances Louise Bridges Cooper, 81, of 1319 Crestview Drive, died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at home. Born in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Odell B. Bridges and Clara Elizabeth Wilkerson Bridges. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Drury Dobbins Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, James Stanley Cooper; infant daughter, Sonja Denise Cooper; brothers, James L. Bridges, Horace Bridges, Obie Bridges and J.L. Bridges; and sister, Inez Martin. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James Dwight Cooper; daughter, Diane Durant and husband, Dennis, of Shelby; brother, Earl Bridges and wife, Treva, of Kings Mountain; sister, Betty Jean Hughes of Ellenboro; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral: Saturday, June 27, 3 p.m., Drury Dobbins Baptist Church, Ellenboro

Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour before the service, at the church and other times the family will be at the home.

Burial: Drury Dobbins Baptist Church Cemetery
