Randy Blanton

Mr. Farchel "Randy" Blanton, 54, of 610 Landing St., died on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Kings Mountain Hospital. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of Farchel L. and Juanita G. Blanton of Kings Mountain. He was most recently employed as a dispatcher and customer service representative for Carolina Heating and Cooling and previously employed by Wix DMC in Gastonia for 22 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Blanton is survived by his wife of 30 years, Verleen R. Blanton; by two sons, Ian Randy Blanton of Charlotte and Ethan Sean Blanton of Greensboro; by a sister, Leigh Ann Blanton and husband, Bryan, of Kings Mountain; and a niece, Kristen Leigh Long of Kings Mountain.

Funeral: 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009, in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 3 p.m. At other times, the family will be at the home of his sister, 713 Sandhurst Drive in Kings Mountain.

Burial: Mountain Rest Cemetery in Kings Mountain
