Ms.
Betty Ruth McSwain Davis, 61, died on November 8, 2009 at her residence.She was born in Cherokee County, SC on October 31, 1948 to the late Walter Cleve McSwain and Lula Waddell McSwain of Earl. Prior to her illness she worked in the medical office of Dr. Scott Mayes and his wife Sarah who took wonderful care of her during her illness.
Betty was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Betty was a fun loving and social person who had many friends and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her mother Lula Waddell McSwain of Earl, her son: Marc Davis and wife Kristen of N. Wilkesboro, her sisters: Patricia M. McDaniel and husband Eddie and Virginia M. McDaniel and husband Ferman, all of Gaffney, SC., and her partner and special friend Steve Ledford of Earl, NC.
The family would like to thank Dr. Woodard, Dr. Potts and the staff of Hospice Cleveland County for the wonderful level of care provided to Betty.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November ll, 2009 from 2:00-3:00 pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory.
