David A. Sturdy
Mr.
David Alden Sturdy, 74, of Lamar Avenue, passed away surrounded by his loving
family on November 10, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Mr. Sturdy
was born on June 19, 1935 in Attleboro, MA to the late Raymond Rogers Sturdy and
Mary Lester Ford Sturdy. Mr. Sturdy graduated from Brown University in 1957. He
was self-employed, owning Cheever Tweedy Manufacturing—a manufacturer of
jewelry. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sue Sturdy, of the home; a son:
John Howard Sturdy and wife Diana of Delray Beach, FL; two daughters: June
Elizabeth Sturdy of Bradenton, FL and Jessica Lynne Sturdy Gould and husband
Chad of Shelby, NC; a brother: Raymond R. Sturdy II and wife Elizabeth of
Attleboro, MA; a sister: Elizabeth Frances Sturdy of Attleboro, MA; and six
grandchildren: David Orval Walker, Cameron Jennings Sturdy, Chelsea Elizabeth
Gould, Chad William Gould, Jr., Ethan Craig Walker, and Chase Alden Gould.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 20th, 2009 at 6:00pm in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory, with the Rev. Gary Marburger officiating.
The family will receive friends the hour preceding the service.
