Bonnie Watts Short

 

 

Mrs. Bonnie Watts Short, 92, of White Oak Manor, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at White Oak Manor. She was born in Macon County, a daughter of the late Harvey Watts and Ella Vera Ivey Jackson. She had previously worked for PPG Industries. Bonnie was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed her flower garden and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Curtis Short; four brothers; and five sisters. She is survived by her son, Carl Short of Lexington; brother, Hoyt Jackson and wife, Mary Sue, of Homer, Ga.; sister, Edie Vera Westmoreland of Commerce, Ga.; grandchildren, Harold Deyton and wife, Rebecca, Connie Watts and husband, Wayne and William Short and wife, Susan; seven great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral: Tuesday, Sept. 22, 3 p.m., Union Baptist Church Visitation: The family will receive friends one hour before the service, at the church.
