Kerry Roark
Mrs. Kerry Ann Spradley Roark, 37, of 1618 McFarland Drive, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Hospice Cleveland County. Kerry was born on Oct. 18, 1971, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Connie Marie Bergeron Spradley of Shelby and the late James Norman Spradley Sr. She was a 1990 graduate of Broad Run High School in Ashburn, Va., where she was a member of the marching band and former member of Port Neches-Groves High School marching band. Kerry had previously worked at Gentiva Healthcare. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Lionel Bergeron and Les Spradley. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Tabitha Marie Gilkerson; son, Tyler James Gilkerson of Shelby; her husband, Charles David Roark of Shelby; stepsons, Kris Roark of Greenville and Kyle Roark of Rutherfordton; brothers, James N. Spradley Jr. and wife, Deane, of Lumberton, Texas and Christopher Spradley and wife, Tracy, of Shelby; grandmothers, Mildred B. Benoit of Nederland, Texas and Margie Spradley Leath of Arlington, Texas; aunts, Kathy Thompson of Leesburg, Va., and Tina Morvant and husband, Keith, of Beaumont, Texas; uncle, Charles Bergeron and wife, Christina, of Nederland, Texas; and several other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation: The family will receive friends and recite the Rosary on Thursday, Oct. 1, 6 to 8 p.m., at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home.
