Ann Taylor Barberree
 

Ann Taylor Barberree, formerly of Shelby, NC, passed away at home on July 4, 2011.  Ann was born May 31, 1938.  She was the daughter of the late Alex K. and Mary Annie Cline Barberree.  She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, D. Huss and Vivian Cline and aunts and uncles.  She graduated from Shelby High School and attended Meredith College in Raleigh, NC.  Ann owned her own laundry business, bred, raised and trained champion Pugs in Denver, Colorado.  She was an estimator for California Builders Hardware in San Francisco and later moved to El Granada, California and worked in Real Estate.

     She is survived by her sister, Betty R. Barberree of Charlotte; half-brother, Buddy Armour; half-sister, Kaye Rust of Morganton, NC; cousins, Jack Arey, Becky Smith, Stough Wray, Janie Ledbetter and Fred Cline all of Shelby and Sonny Cline III of Elkin, NC, Vivian Fox of Raleigh, NC; and Walter Haney of Buford, GA; their families; and long-time companion Latisha Thompson of Sorrento, Fla.

    Interment will be at Noon on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Sunset Cemetery (casual attire).  Officiating will be Rev. Sara Ilderton of St. Lukes Lutheran Church of Charlotte.  Beyers Funeral Home of Florida handled the cremation.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the charity of your choice.
