Shelby: Mrs. Brenda Beaver Clark age, 71, of Allen Street died Thursday October 27, 2011 at her home. Born on June 14, 1940 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Everette and Lillian Short Beaver. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James Clark and a brother, Larry Beaver.  Brenda was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who unselfishly sacrificed for her family.  She enjoyed politics especially the Democratic Party. Mrs. Clark was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Clark is survived by two sons: Randy Clark and wife Tracy of Shelby, Scott Clark and wife Angie of Shelby: three sisters, Geraldine Melton and husband Don of Mooresboro, Judy Hamlett and husband Gerald of Lattimore, Kathy McCraw and husband Bryan of Lattimore; two brothers, Jerry Beaver and wife Nancy of Shelby and Danny Beaver of Lattimore; four grandchildren, Kimberly, Jessica, Jordan, and Jacob; and one great granddaughter, Isabella.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 29, 2011 at 11:00am in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Tony McCraw officiating. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00am prior to the service.
