Michael Dalton Fitch, 17, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach, SC.  He is the son of Bryan and Tracy Brackett Fitch.  He was a rising senior at Crest High School.  He played baseball at the Shelby Park and basketball for Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Dalton is survived by a brother, Blake Fitch and wife Brittany of Shelby; a sister, Raven Fitch of the home; Maternal grandparents, Vicki Luper of Rocky Mount, NC and Bob Brackett, Sr. of Shelby; paternal grandparents, Mike Fitch and wife Barbara of Shelby, Donnis White of Shelby; Paternal Great Grandmother, Sue Fitch of Shelby; Cousins, Bradley Lail, Brandon Henson, Cody McCurry, Michael Conner, Kelsey Brittain, Savannah Brittian; Aunt and Uncles, Michelle Fitch, Melanie Smith, Bobby Brackett, Jr. and Jessica Owens.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Lafayette Street United Methodist Church.  Dr. Tom Steagald and Pastor Eddie Fitch will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00pm  prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
