Jeanette Hager Roebuck Bost, 88, passed away on
Friday, January 27, 2012 at Cleveland Pines
Nursing Center.
She was born
on October 16, 1923 to Robert Carl and Gertrude
Guiton Hager in Bessemer City, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents
as well as a brother, Ray Hager; sister, Clara
H. Frederick; Step daughter, Barbara R. Morgan;
first husband, Albert S. Roebuck; second
husband, Floyd P Bost.
Jeanette graduated from Bessemer City
High School and Kings Business College. She was
a member of the Jr. Woman's Club, member of
North Lake Country Club where she was past
president. She was a member of the Episcopal
Church of the Redeemer where she previously
served as secretary. She was office manager of
Spangler and Sons Concrete Co. and Concrete
Supply Co.
She loved to play bridge and belonged to
several bridge clubs.
Jeanette is survived by her sons, Michael J.
Roebuck; Alan D. Roebuck and wife Janet all of
Shelby; brother Robert C. Hager, Charleston;
stepsons, Tom Roebuck, Charlotte; Franklin Bost
(Janet), Newnan, GA; Patton Bost (Renee),
Shelby; stepdaughter, Susan P Bost, Gerton, NC;
sister in law, Virginia Bost, Shelby. Grandson,
Jim Roebuck and wife, Cassie and children
Makenzie and Madison; granddaughter Katie R
Farmer and husband Fred and children Alexis,
Alan and Kobe. Step grandchildren The Hon. James
Morgan(Page), Joe Morgan (Jodi) and Eleanor
Morgan, Shelby; Eric and Billy Thomas; Leslie T
Nix (Harvey); Courtney B Peterson; Eric Bost,
Corrine Bost, Catherine B Saxe; Michael and Mary
Bost; Andrew, Noah, and Christopher Crosson.13
step great grandchildren, many nieces and
nephews, and caregiver and special friend,
Sherry Smith. A funeral service will be
held 2 p.m. Monday at Episcopal Church of the
Redeemer, 502 W Sumter Street, Shelby.
The Rev. Dr. Valori M. Sherer will be
officiating.
A
visitation/reception will follow immediately
after the service in the Parrish Hall.
Interment will follow the reception in
Sunset Cemetery.
At other times the family will be at the
home of Alan and Janet Roebuck.
