Linda Doty Lee, 70, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at home.  A native of Cleveland County she was the daughter of J.D. Doty and Sue Watts Doty.  Mrs. Lee is preceded in death by her father J.D. Doty.  She was a member of the Shelva Wilson Homemaker Sunday School Class at Double Springs Baptist Church.  She was also the leader of the GA’s at the church. She graduated from Shelby High School.  Mrs. Lee worked for Ora Mill for over 35 years as a clerk.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a love for animals.  She was a loving, giving and caring person who enjoyed doing for others.

Mrs. Lee is survived by her mother Sue Watts Doty of Shelby; her loving husband Charles O. Lee; a son, Bob Lee of Shelby; a daughter, Melissa Brady and husband Steve of Eagle River, Alaska; two grandchildren, Haley and Caitlyn Brady; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Double Springs Baptist Church.  The Rev. Billy Fryar and the Rev. Pete Bridges will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00pm prior to the service.  At other times the family will be at the home.
