Lois Mae Bland Holland
 

Lois Mae Bland Holland, 91, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.  A native of Cherokee County South Carolina she was the daughter of the late Summie and Maude Horton Bland.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Burl Holland; brothers, Dortch, Horace, Dewitt, Milford and Hal Bland; sister, Lois Virginia Bland; and son-in-law, Dick Easton.  Mrs. Holland graduated from Gaffney High School.  She completed her nursing school at Shelby Hospital where she began her nursing career.  She later worked at Crawley Hospital in Boiling Springs.  Mrs. Holland was an active member of Sandy Run Baptist Church where she was a member of the Euzelian Sunday School Class.  She loved cooking, canning, freezing and eating good southern food. 

Mrs. Holland is survived by her three sons, Charles Holland and wife Jean of Houston, TX; James Thomas Holland of Boiling Springs, Ronald Bland Holland and wife Penny of Greenwood, SC; daughter, Linda Ann Holland Easton of Evergreen, CO; daughter-in-law Pam Hoppes of Morganton; grandchildren, Charles Holland II and wife Sulai, Angie Laporte and husband Doug, Hunter Wash and wife Heather, Jeff Wash and wife Carmen, Ryan Holland and wife Liz, Twyla Camp and husband Hugh, Danielle Wafford and husband Chris; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Sandy Run Baptist Church in Mooresboro.  The Rev. Allen Hall, Rev. Randy Oliver and Rev. Tim Hendrick will be officiating.  Burial will be in Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00pm prior to the service in the church sanctuary.  At other times the family will be at the home.
