Mary Thrift Wilson, 76, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2011 at Hospice Cleveland County.  She was the daughter of the late Charlie Marion and Verna Mae Brown Thrift.  She was also preceded in death by a sister Helen Sanders.  Mary was a lifetime member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  She loved gardening, cooking ad being with family and friends.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by two sons, Pressley L. Wilson Jr. and wife Amelia of Cherryville and Keith Wilson and wife Myra of Shelby; four grandchildren, Derek Wilson and wife Jodi, Kerri Jordan, Shane Huffstetler and wife DeeAnna and Tommy Huffstetler and wife Missy; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Charline Lovelace of Shelby and Betty Rudicil of New Port Richey, Fl.

A celebration of life service will be 11:00am on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00am prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Sunset cemetery.  At other times the family will be at the home, 243 Thrift Road, Shelby.
